Took a couple of days and headed up to Nebraska for a buffalo hunt. Saw a lot of Sharp tails also. Had a great time. Sure is tasty!

Training Day At RVK

On August 14 RVK hosted a low cost training day. The theme of the day was introduction to birds. This was an opportunity to learn the right way to introduce your dog or puppy to birds. We had a great group and all the dogs had a chance to see, smell and taste some birds. Following the class we had lunch and talked about dogs and training. A few folks stuck around to continue with a little more training. Jenni and I enjoyed the company and the day. Below are some pics from the class. We hope to host some more of these types of events again in the future.

After the wedding it was in to Hells Canyon up the Snake River for 3 days of fun!

There was lots of fishing, swimming and just plain old lying around. Family, friends and dogs, what else could you want!

The Idaho girls showed Rio the ropes on how to have a good time on the beach!

I couldn’t help myself but to get down in the sand with a couple of old friends!

A great group of people! Some new friends, some old friends and a lot of fun celebrating Scott & Lori’s Special day.

Scott and Lori get hitched!

It was a beautiful morning in Lewiston Idaho on the 16^th of July. Friends and family gathered on the deck of their mountain home for the ceremony. Everything was casual, comfortable and a lot of fun.

Following the ceremony were cake and refreshments and then it was up river where the 3 day party was to begin

Idaho Road Trip!

Jenni, Rio and I are off to Idaho!

We’re off to Idaho. First stop is Boise. We’ll visit some family and hang there for a few days. A stop at Cabala’s, Boise is always a must for me. I will most likely make my way over to Sportsman’s Warehouse too! Then it’s off to Lewiston. Our friends Scott and Lori are getting married and then it’s down to the Snake River for 3 days of camping and fishing. We will be staying with our friends, Captain Kev and Pam this trip! We’re looking forward to a fun time and meeting up with all the RVK dogs that are now living in Lewiston.

On the way back we will stop in Utah to see our friend Jon from Gundogbreeders.com to pick up some training pigeons.

February Quail Flurry

What a great day to hunt quail! Box T Cowboys hosted there first Quail Flurry. It was a great day. The weather was nice and the quail were flying. There were morning and afternoon hunts, along with clay shooting all day. A good time was had by all.

I guided for several groups. Murphy, Rio, Izzie, Willow, Josie and Abby, a dog just finishing our training program did a fantastic job making the hunting easy and enjoyable.

Thanks to Duke Phillips and Jonathan Tullar of the Chico Basin Ranch and Box T Cowboys for providing a memorable day!
