Just A Little Less Red Neck…

Most of you have or have seen on the back window of a camper shell the shocks that hold up the back window. Eventually they start to wear out and the weight of the window starts to overcome them. It will start to fall down and then it comes to the point that won’t stay up at all. That happened to me and after being hit in the head a couple of times my red neck ingenuity kicked in. I found the perfect stick. It was the perfect length and fit just right in the crack between the truck and the tailgate. It had a little fork at the top that held up the window like it was grown just for this purpose. I used it for months.

Every time I popped it out I got some crack about how red neck I was. After a while I just refused to replace the shocks on principle. It worked and it was free.

Yesterday I finally gave in and bought the shocks. So I guess that makes me just a little less Red neck, but only a little. I still have the stick just in case. It’s perfect!
